Join the National WWI Museum and Memorial for a special partnered program with Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) and the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) to commemorate the centennial of the selection of the World War I Unknown Solider. This lunch-and-learn webinar will explore the fascinating story of how the U.S. Army selected the World War I Unknown Soldier and went to great lengths to ensure his eternal anonymity. It will touch upon the context of American military burial practices and memorialization in the World War I era and highlight ABMC’s deep connections to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

On the centennial of this decision, learn the context of this memorialization and the Museum and Memorial’s deep connections to the Tomb of the Unknown Solider. In partnership with Arlington National Cemetery and American Battle Monuments Commission.
