The Great War in East Asia
Description
World War I catalyzed great changes in East Asia. After key victories over China and Russia in the preceding decades, rising military power Japan partnered with the Allies, capturing German territories in Asia-Pacific areas. Meanwhile, the United States maintained forces in both China and the Philippines and joined Japan and other Allied states in military operations during the Russian Revolution. Join Dr. Geoff Babb, military historian at the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College, for a discussion on the pivotal events that occurred in East Asia during World War I and their enduring impact.
