Revel in an evening of live jazz with one of the most acclaimed ensembles today, Catharsis, as they tour the Midwest. The quartet takes you on a musical journey paying tribute to the great African American composer, bandleader and WWI veteran, James Reese Europe, honoring the 100th anniversary of his death. Catharsis performs its own renditions of compositions by Europe, along with original arrangements inspired by his influential works. Albums will be available for purchase before and after the program along with an opportunity to meet the artists. Presented in partnership with the American Jazz Museum. Reception begins at 6 p.m. FREE with RSVP | J.C. Nichols Auditorium
